Adult heuglini type. P1, P3 fully grown. P2 growing. Simultaneous moult in coverts.

Bird in the colony, hard to believe this taxon will breed so far south of the know areal? Still showing obvious heuglini traits:
- small mirror only on P10, no mirror on P9.
- black down to P4, 7 primaries with black.
- black reaches primary coverts on P8-P10.
- dark slate grey upperparts.
