Cachinnans - nest r-CP

General remarks:

  • Eggs: Volume measured by Stonehouse (1964) and Spaans & Spaans (1975), which make comparison possible with data from Texel (Camphuysen pers comm 16.04.2020).
  • Nest r-CP, 820 mtr from S-point of dam in open vegetation, but 20 mtr from denser bushes.
  • ID certain in 2026: both are Caspian Gull cachinnans.

  parents 1x unringed parents. Other is Caspian gull r-CP, chick from nest 227-2022 Lelystad. Has fishgear in beak.
