This marking program is conducted by the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) as part of a research project on movements and population dynamics of Ring-billed Gulls breeding in southern Quebec. Note patterned coverts, dull bare part coloration, black in tail, lack of white tips on outer primaries, and pattern on greater primary coverts.
