Lesser Black-backed Gull (graellsii & intermedius)

LBBG 1cy: Fruit boxes, May 2004, Missouriweg - Maasvlakte, the Netherlands. 

To shelter pulli after hatching and increase survival rate we supplied nests with fruit boxes. This very much eased catching of pulli, even when they were large and capable of escaping. They still took shelter in these boxes and were easily processed.
