Lesser Black-backed Gull (graellsii & intermedius)

A bird ringed left red E31, right white E. This bird still shows a completely juvenile plumage, but note the fresh second generation-like central median covert, central lower lesser covert, central greater covert, five lower scapulars and one upper scapular. Considering the location of these feathers, we presume them to be juvenile, obviously grown in later than adjacent feathers. E31 was ringed in the Maasvlakte colony this summer, about a month ago.
