Third-calendar year Lesser Black-backed Gull moulting to third-winter (third-basic, third cycle) plumage. The newly acquired coverts and tertials are adult looking and contrast with the worn and faded second-generation brown feathers. The body is completely white, the iris light, and the bill adult looking with only a few black marks. Note the pink legs with no sign of yellow colourration.
