Typical 2cy spring graellsii in the Netherlands. Moult on the wintering groundfs restricted to scapular region. Fresh feathers are grey based with an accentuated shaft streak. Older second generation feathers are worn at the fringe and the centres are faded pale. The rearmost scapular is still juvenile. In the second image: together with Herring Gull. Compare base colour and innerhand.
