Lesser Black-backed Gull (graellsii & intermedius)

Lesser Black-backed Gull 2cy, June 24 2013, Noordwijk, the Netherlands.

Bird without ring, hence no provenance on origin, but not like local graellsii, so probably of intermedius stock. Odd bird, with still many (greater) wing-coverts old juvenile, but combined with new tail and single secondary replaced. Tail not 'full', so a few feathers still growing.

Complete moult started, P1-P2 missing. Dark wing-coverts most likely all involved in moult process last winter.
