Although the extent of moult to third generation is very usual, the coloration of upperparts and newly moulted coverts and tertials is very adult-like. Actually, this individual superficially shows great resemblance to second summer LBBG. Underparts and head are quite sparsely patterned for second winter LBBG. This bird represents local Dutch 2cy LBBG with grey scapulars and grey median coverts.
