Lesser Black-backed Gull (graellsii & intermedius)

LBBG 3cySeptember 22 2002, Le Portel, NW France.

A 3cy LBBG, which show the following characteristics:

1. typical immature coloration of the soft parts,
2. tertials without a complete white tip, but white tip confined to the inner web (it remains unclear whether this only applies to immaturity) and still some vermiculated pattern on a central tertial,
3. brown hue on the central greater coverts, inner median coverts and the lesser coverts in the carpal edge,
4. small tips on the outer primaries, starting from P7.
