Lesser Black-backed Gull (graellsii & intermedius)

LBBG 3cySeptember 22 2002, Le Portel, NW France.

A 3cy LBBG, which show the following characteristics:

1. black markings in the rectrices,
2. tertials without a complete white tip, but white tip confined to the inner web (it remains unclear whether this only applies to immaturity),
3. brown abraded second generation secondaries, just visible beneath the greater coverts,
4. Very bleached brown outer primaries, with p10 lacking a white mirror.
