Lesser Black-backed Gull (graellsii & intermedius)

LBBG intermedius 3cy October 11 2003, Brouwersdam, the Netherlands.

Arrested moult: P7 new and P8-P10 old, bleached pale brown and very abraded second generation primaries. P7 is still growing. The new primaries P1-P7 have new white tips. This immature bird is probably in 3cy with a very strong brown hue on the old wing-coverts. 

The legs are clear yellow; the iris is pale yellow with some dark pigmentation; the bill has a dark band at the gonydeal angle.
