LBBG sub-adult, August 20 2012, Katwijk, the Netherlands.
Active complete moult: P1-P2 missing. Moult division at P7. Mirror on P10. Classic pattern for 3cy fuscus, a taxon of slender built birds with elongated raer end. In fact this bird is a complete match to fsucus, but unringed individuals are hard to determine on subspecies level due to extensive overlap in features shown by intermedius. Also, extremely difficult to completely rule out 4cy birds, especially as there is hardly any black on the bill (but note very dull coloured bare parts).
