An adult intermedius ringed in Norway, ringed as adult (5+cy) on the nest, on 28 June 1987, at Vest-Agder, Norway (58° 2' 59 , 6° 40' 11).

score for mid October, compared to western graellsii: P7
full-grown, no old primaries left. The pale-yellow iris shows no speckling and the orbital ring is
red. The legs are yellow, the bill is yellow with the red gonydeal spot on both
mandibles. There is a faint black stripe on the upper mandible.
