Picture: John Cant.Complete moult: many coverts replaced already. Moult: P4/P7, P5 almost equal in length to P4. P5 with full subterminal band. Secondaries and tail still old. Ageing a bit awkward in this bird. Outer primaries perfectly match old 2nd gen feathers: faded brown lacking P10-mirror. However, old secondariesd largely greyish with darker centres, certainly not typical for 2nd gen feathers, better match to 3rd gen feathers with broad white tips. Last old coverts also better match 3rd gen in pattern, than they do for 2nd gen. Resuming, probably retarded 4CY bird.
