See website: The Gulls Of Appledore. V57 was banded as a chick on July 19 2012 on Appledore, Maine.

Note replaced body feathers (which are fresh, grey-based unlike the old brownish juvenile feathers) located in side of the breast, neck, face and flanks.

Upper sdcapulars replaced, feathers in the lowest row of scapulars still juvenile. Pattern on tertials and greater coverts like in juvenile Lesser Black-backed Gull, and note the 2nd gen fresh coverts intermixed in the juvenile wing-covert panel.
