Photographed on 15 Dec 2013. Gosman's Parking Lot, Montauk Inlet, Suffolk County, New York, USA. Location (41.071760°, -71.938467°) is a rain puddle in a small parking lot next to commercial fishing docks and an inlet leading out to Block Island Sound. Popular spot for gulls that intercept the fishing boats as the come in and out. Seemed in very good health. Played with a fragment of whelk shell before flying off.
