Great Black-backed Gull (Larus marinus) 2cy: February 2001, IJmuiden, the Netherlands (52.27 N, 4.33 E).

First winter showing the pale window, created by the pale inner and outer webs of the inner five primaries. Note the relatively thin tail-band, characteristic for GBBG.
