		Great Black-backed Gull (Larus marinus) sub-adult: September 30 2001, Le Portel - Boulogne sur Mer, France (50.42 N - 01.34 E). Primary p9 almost fully grown and no old primaries left. Note the variegated pattern in the central tertial, faded brown greater and lesser coverts and the well-developed bill-band.
