Great Black-backed Gull JE1L (Larus marinus) 2cy: February 18 - March 25 2004, IJmuiden, the Netherlands (52.27 N, 4.33 E)

Ringed last summer in Vest-Agder, southern Norway. Juvenile coverts and tertials, remiges and rectrices. Almost all scapulars moulted to second generation. Note extensive black in tail and ill-defined pale inner-hand. In general JE1L is slightly darker than average.
