Great Black-backed Gull (Larus marinus) 3cy, May 17 2002, Le Portel - Boulogne sur Mer, France (50.42 N - 01.34 E).

Another bird with advanced bill coloration. One median covert is obviously different patterned and look fresh black. The same can be seen in the scapulars, where upper lower scapulars and lower upper scapulars are adult-like black.
