Great Black-backed Gull 6cy SVS 9155846 (Larus marinus): January 19 2003, IJmuiden, the Netherlands (52.27 N, 4.33 E)

Ringed as pullus on 25 June 1998 at Rogsta, Skottstenarna, Sweden (61.50N 17.26E). Also seen in IJmuiden on January 19 & 23 2003, but earlier on 23 August 1998 on the isle of Helgoland (Germany) and seen in the harbour of Den Helder (Netherlands) on 8 May 1999, 10 June 2000, 12 July 2001, 19 January 2002, 8 January 2003, 17 February 2003, 10 October 2003 and 18 September 2004. In all respects an adult bird, but note the black markings on the bill and the brownish old inner wing-coverts.
