Therre is a recent net increase in the number of Great Black-backed Gulls in Boulogne-sur-Mer and its direct environments in the breeding season.
One pair raised 2 youngs on the roof of a plant "Crown Outreau".
One pair with two youngs on the roof of a factory in the port of Boulogne-sur-Mer (only discovered this year).
Another pair seen on the nest on the roof of a factory in the port of Boulogne-sur-Mer (only discovered this year).

One bird, ringed on the island of Burhou now has a nest in Boulogne-sur-Mer (which is rare for a bird from Jersey).
