Banded as 1st cycle in winter on January 28th, 2015 (HY=2014), in St. John's, Newfoundland (LAT: 47.80833; LON: -52.80833).

As a 2nd cycle it was an iteresting dark-winged bird, so we asked ourselves: "Will this bird turn into a dark-winged adult?" Well, there we have the bird returning, now with 3rd gen flight feathers, tertials and wing-coverts. Again, it seems to be a rather well-pigmented bird this year. There is a broad band on P6, much pigment on outerwebs of outer primaries, and these images do not suggest a mirror on P9 yet. The bird now has grey scaps on the back. Bill-band and paler brown iris.
