Great to see this bird back again.
As 1st cycle, it was a rather white-plumages individual, also on the outer primaries. This year's appearance is quite classic, with an obvious grey tone on outer primaries, being darker than the upperparts. Full band on P6 and overall adult-like, also in bare parts coloration.

Pattern on primaries just ill-defined, close to a so-called "ghost-pattern".

Bird developed large mirror on P9 and P10 on 3rd gen outer primaries. Honey-coloured iris. Some pigmnet on P5.

When compared to early winter (November 2015), now a few new grey scaps appear on the back.

2nd gen flight feathers, tertials and wing-coverts. Bi-coloured bill. Slightly overexposed picture, but median and greater coverts appear all-white.

Darker markings on all 5 of the visible outer primaries. Few grey scaps moulted in. Bill colour and pattern about equal to the pattern it showed 9 months ago.

Bird with obvious brown washed broad tail band, but otherwise very pale and showing snowy white outer primaries. It is hoped for that such white birds like this will be banded more often in future and of course it is very interesting to follow this individual over the years to see how the pigmentation in the outer primaries will develop and if there will be any correlation between this white plumage in 1st cycle and extent of grey in the primaries.
