Kumlien's Gull (kumlieni) 4cy, January 16 & 27 2012, Zeebrugge, Belgium. Pictures: Filip de Ruwe.

Age 4cy: showing clean bill, several lesser coverts and central tertials with brown shafts streaks, few markings on side of rump feathers and markings on underwing coverts and rectrices. Bird present for several days now.

Iris yellowish with brown wash in this individual. P7-P10 with pale brown markings: P7 darkest at sub-terminal point on outer-web; P8-P10 with dark outer-webs especially along the edge, but also at the sub-terminal location. At the sub-terminal location of P9, the markings are pretty dark on the underside of the feather.
