Heuglini 4cy, February 26 2001, Bahrain: Sittrah parking lot.

Compare the grey tone of the upper parts with the cachinnans left and the barabensis right in the background. This heuglini is missing the right eye and it's unclear whether or not such injuries influence moult progress. As seen in most heuglini, the bill looks somewhat droopy again, is slender and lacks the obvious gonydeal angle and high-based blunt-tipped appearance of barabensis. Winter streaking is still present between the eye and the nape and in the lower neck. In the upper parts some feathers have a brown hue, others are moulted and appear slaty grey. The legs are relatively long and pink. The primaries have small white tips, which are almost completely worn away already. Probably P9 and P10 are still growing, what might not be strange for heuglini. The tail is completely white.
