Heuglini & Fuscus primary moult stage

Figure 32 from: Characteristics and moult of "Baltic Lesser Black-backed Gull" Larus [fuscus] fuscus and “Heuglin’s Gull" L. [fuscus] heuglini, by: Visa Rauste.

Progress of primary moult in fuscus (n = 64) and heuglini (n = 66) during the 2cy summer: The figures in the lower part give the number of retained juvenile primaries (10 = still complete juvenile primaries, 0 = 1st moult completed); the upper part shows the progress of the 2nd moult (only fuscus), the figures give the number of renewed 3rd generation primaries, (an upward stroke on the symbols means that these birds have completed the 1st moult, but it is unknown if they have started the 2nd).
