Individual aged by the adult-looking inner primaries (grey with white tips), and the pattern on the central primaries (adult-like blackish pattern with clear cut edges) and clear cut mirror on P10. This is combined with brown in the coverts, dark mottling in the neck and flanks. Tail predominantly white with black remnants. The bill has a light-pink base, yellow tip and black subterminal band.
