Thayer's Gull may show pale iris as well (pale eyed birds - score 2.5 and 3.0 - account for about 20% of the sample). Here: Iris scoring is 2.5, pale greenish or yellowish with little or no brown mottling visible which is found in 16% of Thayer's Gull (see HERE).
