cachinnans plumages

Larus cachinnans 1CY 062:U September 07 2014, Petten, the Netherlands. Picture: Maarten van Kleinwee.

Bird ringed white 062:U, ringed as pullus in June 2014, in the Czech Republic (near the Czech/Austrian border). At this location ringing takes place in colonies of mixed species, with both Caspian and Yellow-legged Gull, so identification is not always straight forward. The possibility that juveniles are not a pure bird is therefore not unlikely, however, this 062:U seems to be a nice cachinnans.
