Larus cachinnans 1P25 adult, May & August 2013, July & September 2014, Poland.

For 2012, breeding location of 150 pairs cachinnans, of which 54 adults ringed and 158 pulli in 2012 (pers comm. Łukasz Bednarz).

Breeding bird trapped at the nest. Adult, with deep white tongue on P10 which breaks through the black medial band merging with the white tip (thayeri pattern, also on P9), and black on P5 only on outerweb. Limited speckling in iris making pale eye. Red orbital ring gape. Pinkish legs with yellow hue. Due to pale iris and limited black in wing may be taken for other taxon, but note intense white of P10 tongue; probably just a paler eyed cachinnans.
