LBBG 3cyAugust 27 2006, Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
3cy LBBG showing the moult stage in the flight feathers. As is common in LBBG, the moult gap is on average substantially smaller than in e.g. Herring Gull and particularly Yellow-legged Gull.
Here: P1-P5 fully grown, P6 already at half its final length, and P7-P10 still present, old second generation outer primaries. Central tail-feathers probably replaced last winter, now all white. Worn at the tips already. Secondaries still present and old second generation.
