Lesser Black-backed Gull intermedius DKC 4253409 7CY-8CY, October 2003, IJmuiden & October 2004 Westkapelle, the Netherlands.Adult intermedius, from Denmark. Ringed as pullus on on June 19 1997 at Langli, Blavandshuk, Denmark (55.31N 08.19E). below: Lesser Black-backed Gull intermedius DKC 4253409 7CY, October 02 2003, IJmuiden, the Netherlands.P6 is fully grown, P9-P10 are still old. P10 with a medium-sized mirror. Moult in the rectrices has started as well, with no old feathers left, but some tail-feathers still growing. The bill is yellow, with the red gonydeal spot confined to the lower mandible but with a hint o orange at the upper mandible. There is some black on both upper and lower mandible.
