Yellow-legged Gull michahellis 3CY HES M000091 December 12 2008, Westkapelle, the Netherlands. Picture: Ies Meulmeester.

Ringed michahellis from Switzerland.

The head-streaking is well developed by this Swiss 3cy Yellow-legged Gull. Immature indications in this (sub)adult-like 3cy are the brownish hue and markings in the wing-coverts and tertials, black on the primary coverts, the black markings on the gonys and along the cutting-edges of the bill, note also the shape of the white primary tips. The mirror on only p10 is rather small and separate from the white tip by a complete subterminal band. The tail is complete white without any dark marking. On 15 October 2007 this Yellow-legged Gull was also seen and photographed on the sea dike of Westkapelle by Pim Wolf.
