Yellow-legged Gull michahellis group, July 27 2001, Etaples, France (50.44N,01.35E).

Note the difference in moult progress: right is a 2CY without old primaries (P10 shed) and the tip of P9 already visible, while two landing adults show P7-P10 which are still old. The 2CY shows secondary moult: S1 full grown, S2-S3 growing, S4-S10 missing and the inner secondaries still old (juvenile), although there seem to be a few missing (the innermost secondaries / lower tertials near the body).
