October 12 2008, Corvo - Azores Islands. Picture: Dominic Mitchell. Dark blackish fresh primaries witrh rounded tips, P10 might still be growing. Even moulting out of first-summer into second-winter plumage, this form can still look dark - though note paler underbody compared with typical first-cycle birds. Partial autumn moult includes upper tertials, several inner and central mc and inner gc.
