In the scapulars, the base of first moulted
feathers turn paler now (they were moulted late July) and they contrast with the
blackish barred or anchor pattern. Most recently moulted scapulars have a
buffish centre and buffish fringe.
One greater covert has been moulted, two medians and five lower lesser coverts
have been replaced while the outer lesser coverts are missing and one lesser
covert is new with two missing. The white fringes of the tertials are completely
worn away and the primary tips start to turn brownish.
A very strong and large bird, probably a male.
