The average April 2cy michahellis in plumage
and jizz. This is a 2cy michahellis with P1-P2 missing. The
tail-feathers R2 have been moulted symmetrically to second generation in
the post-juvenile moult (first pre-basic moult).
Tertials #1-3 have been moulted to barred second generation feathers in
the post-juvenile moult, while the last moulted tertial #4 is obviously
more adult-like grey-based. Tertials #5-6 are still juvenile.
Greater coverts #1-6 are old second generation, all outer greater coverts
are still juvenile.
Median coverts #1-8 & #11-12 are old second generation, all other
median coverts are still juvenile.
Lower lesser coverts #1-10 are old second generation, all outer lower
lesser coverts are still juvenile.
About 14 lesser coverts are old second generation.
1-25% of the scapulars are third generation: only two lower scapulars have been replaced for grey-based feathers and 1-25% of the upper scapulars have been replaced for grey-based feathers.
The orbital ring starts to turn reddish.
