photo 8: Yellow-legged Gull michahellis 2cy,
August 25 2000, Etaples / Boulogne-sur-Mer, NW France.
In
all respects a very delayed individual. The outer juvenile primary, P10,
is still present and in the carpal edge (the outer lesser coverts) many
old feathers, probably retarded juvenile feathers, are still visible. In
the greater coverts, the common bold contrasting bars are lacking and the
greater coverts appear generally washed out.
