Primary score: p7 shorter than the full-grown p6 and p8 at length of p4. P10 is still juvenile and shows a protruding shaft. At this p10, the print of p9 can still be seen as a darker shadow on the primary. All tertials and greater coverts are new. The median coverts are growing and a few lesser coverts are missing. Note the bold barring at the median and greater coverts; typical in most michahellis. Argenteus Herring Gulls would show more densely patterned greater coverts in most cases. An example of 3rd generation feathers much resembling 2nd generation feathers in their pattern. Third generation feathers not always appear greyish.
