P8 is fully grown and P9 is at the length
of P7 (noticeable in the far wing). Note the immature patterns in the
central greater coverts, the
outer lesser coverts (the carpal edge), the central tertials, the central tail-feathers and in the
bill. The iris is peppered with black.
The complete moult in the upper-parts and head feathers have been
finished, leaving birds with typical streaked heads on crown, nape and
ear-coverts. This individual has the streaking running down the hind neck.
The white tips on the primaries are small, just thin white crescents on
the outermost primaries.
