October 01 2001, Le Portel,
France (50.43N,01.37E).
Primary P8
already longer than P7 and all old primaries have been shed. The head streaking
is well-developed; consisting of fine streaks that will easily wear of which
will result in a rather white-headed appearance already early in winter. Note
the black marks on the bill and the pinkish base of the bill and the pronounced
black shaft streak in the outer primary covert, just visible beneath the greater
covert row.
