Yellow PELZ and metal PLG DN-26994; ringed as pullus on May 24 2011 at Zwirownia Zakole A, Jankowice - Babice, Poland (50,02N 19,28E). Zwirownia = gravel pit, this colony is situated between the towns of Babice and Jankowice in a gravel pit.

In this area are mixed breeding colonies (near Katowice), with far most birds breeding here are cachinnans, but in this area also records of very few michahellis from the south (e.g. ringed female from Italy) and argentatus from eastern Germany are possible (see PDF). PELZ is classic cachinnans.

Dark uppering with dark outerwebs on inner primaries (no lozenges), barred axillaries and bold pattern on new scaps.

Getting white headed now with characteristic boa in the neck. Few MC replaced as well.

Venetian blind effect on inner primaries only visible in fully streched wing.

Complete moult to 2nd winter plumage. P7/P10. All coverts but also the new scapulars still very 2nd gen like in pattern (barred patterns on coverts and anchor shapes on scaps). Moult gap in central GC closed.
