Lesser Black-backed Gull graellsii hybrid F|E 1CY-6CY, May 2019 - May 2024, the Netherlands. Picture: Fred Visscher, Mars Muusse, Kees de Jager & Merijn Loeve.
Black bar tibia ring n[F|E] and metal NLA 5.548.154, ringed as pullus Larus cachinnans x fuscus on May 16 2019 in colony Lelystad, the Netherlands. Bird hatched in nest A2019. Ringer Roland-Jan Buijs.
Recoveries:
30-10-2023 Katwijk aan Zee (Strand), Zuid-Holland, NL 5.213,00 N 424,00 E colourring read Annelies Marijnis
05-11-2023 Krommeniedijk (Krommenieër Woudpolder), Noord-Holland, NL 5.231,00 N 445,00 E colourring read Kees de Jager
20-03-2024 Lelystad (Bataviahaven), Flevoland, NL 5.230,00 N 525,00 E colourring read T. Horst & M. Muusse
Already, size and mass when ringing indicated this was a suspicious nest.
In 2022, sibbling n-F|D was photographed and clearly showed a Lesser Black-backed Gull, not Caspian Gull as it was labeled first.

Like sibling n-F|D, this is a very pale LBBG, indicative of a hybrid.
