A 1CY Yellow-legged Gull from Italy, ringed left red I153. This bird was probably ringed in May 2004 near Venetia, Italy. Compared to other Italian michahellis presented in other sections, I153 has a delayed moult stage. The moult is also reduced compared to average 1CY michahellis at Boulogne-sur-Mer, N France. The tertials  and most wing-coverts are still juvenile, except graeter coverts #2. The upper scapulars have been replaced for second generation feathers, but the lowest rows of scapulars contain several juvenile feathers. At a distance the bill is all dark, but close examination reveal slightly paler culmen at the base.
