Yellow-legged Gull michahellis 2CY, October 22 2001, Westkapelle, the Netherlands.

This individual seems to show a delayed moult stage, with only a few greater, median and lesser coverts moulted to grey feathers. Most other feathers show the characteristic second generation-like pattern of brown-black centres and white variegated fringes, or washed-out ill-defined brown barring. Note however the warm buffish centres and very neat fringes on the barred median coverts, which were replaced recently as well.
