Yellow-legged Gull michahellis sub-adult, October 03 2002, Etaples, France (50.43N,01.37E).

Probably a 3CY bird, with P9 fully grown. Note the very adult-like coloration of the upper-parts and the brown hue in the inner greater coverts, the tertials and the diffuse brown sub-terminal area between grey and black in P5 and P6. The head-streaking is well developed, indicative for 3CY birds, but it's otherwise a very adult-like bird.
