Yellow-legged Gull michahellis sub-adult / adult, September 30 2001, Dannes, France (50.43N,01.37E).
Primary P8 almost fully grown. Note the diffuse bill-band and the pale yellow base of the bill and the head streaking which is concentrated on the ear-coverts and in the lower hind-neck.
