Yellow-legged Gull michahellis N5U4 sub-adult, November 23 2003, Rosas, NE Spain. Photo Ruud Altenburg.

Very adult-like michahellis, except the bill coloration. The orbital ring is red, the iris is yellow with speckling, the bill and legs are yellow, but the red gonydeal spot doesn't continue on the upper mandible. There is much black on the bill, a clear indication for immaturity. The mirror on P10 is separated from the white tip by a complete sub-terminal band. By November, the primary moult is completed.

This much black might indicate 3CY, but still no data received on this ringed bird.
